We can create a vector graphic identical to your original raster image or as close to the original as possible.

Color vector drawings based on photographs with as much or as little detail as requested.

Vector black-only line art is suitable for instruction and owner's manuals, engraving, etching, and carving. Or for reducing printing costs.

If your original raster image includes color blends or fades, we can reproduce them using effects within the vector program. But they are raster effects, not vector. This style is not suitable for all processes.

Drawings using only vector shapes; no color blends or fades. This version is 100% true vector format and it is suitable for all processes except those requiring single-color or line art.

When creating a vector drawing from a photo, we can add as little or as much detail as you require. Please see examples here.
Below are examples side by side of three different vector drawing styles based on the same photograph. We can create a vector drawing based on your photograph so that it is suitable for your specific process and requirements.

Vectors and gradients option. We can reproduce your image in vector format using color blends and gradients. Vector gradients are scalable but are actually raster effects, not vector. This version is not suitable for all processes.

Vector shapes only; 100% true vector format with no raster effects. This option is needed for machines and tools that are guided by the vector outline or wireframe.

One color vector drawing option. Some processes, such as sandblasting engraving, have limitations and minimum line and space requirements. We can prepare your vector file with your specific instructions so that it complies with your requirements.
What type of vector file does my supplier require?
- If your supplier requested Vector OR High Res, they can use any of the options. "High Res" is not vector, so the only requirement is that the image is big enough. Vector files are scalable, meaning they are big enough no matter what size you need.
- Black and Color vector graphics are accepted by signage and specialty printing.
- Black-Only Shapes or Line Art is required by engraving, etching, carving, and metal stamping.
Ask your supplier for their specific requirements and we'll prepare the vector file accordingly.
